Expanded Responsibilities Under Amended Rules of Professional Conduct

In this presentation, we will discuss the Amended Rules Of Professional Conduct, and how they came to be. The new rules that we will be discussing and the recent opinions pertaining to those rules demonstrate the primacy of the three C's (confidentiality, competence and compliance) as well as the interplay and tension that exists between them. The care taken by the drafting committee (and the Supreme Court) before the issuance of the revised rules in November of 2018 reflects the seriousness of the topics we will discuss.
